Look what the postman brought today!
We have -
some Rowan Calmer, destined to be a Regency Cable Shrug
some Louisa Harding Kashmir Aran for a simple scarf
& a couple balls of Lana Grossa sock wool
This all came from Jannette's Rare Yarns on ebay. She's in the UK but the shipping is reasonable, and she ships fast. I can't recommend her enough. Huge variety of yarns at great prices. And she slipped in a couple little bonuses - a Lana Grossa booklet and a Rowan booklet The Kid Soft Collection with 8 designs by Kim Hargreaves.
Can't wait to get started. I also have some Koigu PPM coming. It's from a vendor in Canada and hasn't arrived yet, even though I placed the order on the same day as I placed the order above, which came all the way from the UK.

Oooh, Rowan, ooooh, Koigu....sends goosies up my arms...
How funny--I was just looking at the shrug patterns in that issue of Interweave Knits last night!
And the yarn looks yummy. I didn't click on the link to the vendor b/c I have done that before, and my will power gets weaker each time I go there...
Great looking yarn--the light falling across it is lovely!
Your project below is lovely! Crocheting? Sorry, I'm not up enough on my needle craft to recognize the technique.
Your weakness with yarn sounds like mine with fabric. Any chance you're hoarder like me, or do you use your stuff right away and avoid the hoarding scenario entirely?
Hi Meretta - I knit and I'm not much of a hoarder. I buy with a project in mind and then use it up. I don't have the space and having too much stuff like that around makes me tense (whereas I know that for some people a nice yarn stash is like a security blanket!). I hope you post some of your quilts and fabrics.
randi - thanks! One thing about this apartment is that it's easy to photo here with all the light.
katy - there are a couple there that tempted my dd. I liked the Patons Katrina one but she's not keen on ribbed fabric and she didn't like the yarn colors. She really liked the Collinette Giotto but I nixed the idea of ribbon - hate knitting with ribbon - and expensive ribbon like that would just make it worse because I'd really have to finish & the pressure would get to me LOL! Are you a 'shrug person'?
la mai - glad to hear you are moved by good looking yarn :-)
how beautiful what are you going to make?
