Hugo is 10!

Actually it was yesterday. Yes, Hugo's birthday falls on the day income tax is due in Canada so all his birthdays are doomed to be fraught with sorting receipts, finding stray T4's and trying to submit taxes online to the crashing CRA website.

The birthday celebrations ended up going on and on - Saturday was the kid's party.

On Wednesday, we had our own quiet celebration. I took the kids out to Reifel Bird Sanctuary (pix of that coming separately) and then we had Hugo's favourite meal - Indian take out. Chicken tikka and dum alloo for the kids, lamb curry for Roo, palak paneer for me, and lots of plain nan for all of us. Yum. Hugo really loves Indian food. On Sunday, we had curry also. But for the kids party, he relented and served pizza to his guests.
