T minus 2 days

The pink ankle socks are done and have been gleefully accepted by Amelia. I have enough yarn left to make another pair but will wait until we're settled in the new place. For now, the only knitting happening is on the green monster blanket.
Specs:
Yarn - FlyDyed LaceWing Sock Yarn 100% super wash Merino in Roses (purchased from AngoraValley on ebay who was lovely to deal with)
Pattern - generic sock pattern by Nancy McMullen from www.socknitters.com
I C/O 60 for this pair. The next pair, I think I'll drop it down to 50 sts for a snugger fit.

Amelia was reading while I was trying to snap photos of the socks. Nancy Drew is a big hit with her.

Mutual Fund annual reports make great wrapping paper for packing crystal. The paper is smooth, a good thickness and the ink doesn't rub off. It's also not likely to distract you with interesting reading, as the newspapers do.

Still haven't found throat spray, though did finally manage to find elderberry syrup last night (and not just any elderberry syrup - this is direct from Israel and made under the supervision of the Chief Rabbinate of Jerusalem! I feel better already.) But in the day, while packing the cup cupboard, I took a break for some tea and annointed myself liberally with Vicks. Discovered Vicks is an effective Hugo repellent and have jotted this info down as it may come in very useful. Is a little boy being pesky? Bugging you with endless questions and requests to build a nuclear reactor in the hall closet? Just bring out the Little Boy repellent and enjoy a quiet cup of tea.

I like your little boy repellent...and I hope you feel better soon. Colds are no fun to have, especially when you are trying to move.
Drink some more tea..it sounds wonderful.
