So I'm having this fabulous dream, in which I'm camping and sitting before a fire. And I think there was some other stuff happening but that's not the point. The point is the fire and the lovely wood smoke smell. And it all makes sense, because we were just camping last week so I guess the brain is processing the experience. Right?
Turns out, there was a huge fire just a block down from us. The local elementary school - a fairly old building - went up in flames. The whole neighbourhood was filled with smoke.
Oh well, no worries for us (once the smoke clears). Two of the many joys of being a homeschooling parent: I don't care if the local school burns, and the rumours of a pending teachers' strike don't concern me at all. Wait, maybe I should go on strike? Yeah, I'll strike for better wages, regular breaks, administrative support, and a larger boosktore budget. And Jeeves should be in the contract as well. But I guess I can't complain about class size.....
