Okay, that almost beats even OUR neighbors for weirdness. I wonder if they're related to our neighbors, as a matter of fact.

Did you ever figure out what happened to your cedars?? At least you've got a good sense of humor!
Hi Julia - when blogger had their outage last week I lost a lot of comments, including the ones on this post. Basically, the dudes apologized. They were digging out rocks and roots with a machine and snagged the roots of these two cedars & sucked them out by accident. They've since replaced them with a couple new cedars.
We're still planning to put in much taller hedging there....
