When a min pin bites the nose of a setter

Poor Darwin. He's a pretty relaxed dog; his idea of aggression or dominant posturing is the occasional attempt to hump another dog.

Daisy told him off really loudly a long time ago and he never does it to her anymore. Bear ignores him. What? Something behind me? I don't notice anything. Absolutely below my dignity to bother with such a nothing.

Drives Darwin BATTY. HellOOO? I'm trying to show you how dominant I AM!!!! And then he shuffles off in despair.

However Darwin does - literally - stick his nose into things & I think that's how he, the dog here least likely to get into any scuffle and the most undeserving of any flesh wounds, got nailed.

A neighbour's min pin dug out of its yard & came into OUR yard, barking & growling like crazy, complete with little min pin hackles. My guys broke out of their fenced dog run (don't know how exactly but I think >200lb of dogs pushed the gate latch open) and - still in our yard - a scuffle ensued in which Daisy rolled the min pin, Darwin got bit on the nose by the min pin, and Bear was trotting hard to keep up with everyone. Finally everyone got sorted out and as far as we know, this was the only injury.

Poor nose. I counted at least three tooth marks in the top of his nose and there are also wounds on the inside of the nostril.

For a happier photo, here is Darwin dreaming earlier in the week.

Hey, I can shed white hair all over this cushion, and actually, all over your house! I'll sleep; you vacuum.
