Characters: Amelia & Hugo
A: "Here mom. We got some chocolates for you." She holds out a handful.
H: "And we picked out all the gross ones. It's just the good ones for you."
They remembered that a mom under stress needs regular chocolate rations, and they even high-graded* the bridge mix (also known fondly as rabbit poop) for me.
*high-grading is a mining & forestry term referring to the practice of taking the best quality ore out & leaving the poorer stuff behind: "taking the best & leaving the rest". Use it at the dinner table for people who pick all the good things out of salads. Not that we would have such appalling manners as that. Though we all regularly high-grade the bridge mix.
