mmmm, yummy liver treats

Hornblower has an appointment with the ship's surgeon today. A fine fellow. Lots of letters after his name, and this is an area where I am most determinedly in favour of exams, and rigorous testing. Sometimes radical homeschoolers get so vehement about testing and the evils thereof and insist that "nobody should be tested!" and "it doesn't prove anything!" and the conversation quickly becomes ridiculous. I'm not opposed to testing per se. I'm also not opposed to testing in elementary and high schools; in fact, I think it's a good idea. I'm just opposed to mandatory testing for homeschoolers. And as far as testing for doctors??? Bring it on please!

Oh where was I? I'm a bit lightheaded from eating nothing but Jello for what seems like an eternity. It is hard to walk your dog with a handful of really, really yummy stuff and not eat some yourself when all you've eaten is Jello.

The prep for this thing is probably the worst aspect of it. I hear I'll get happy pills the moment I walk in the door of the clinic. Just the modern version of a swig of rum but I'll take it. Back home tonight, as it's an outpatient thing.

Stay healthy everyone!

From me too, and pick up something tasty on the way home, so you're not tempted by those liver treats any more lol.

Happy holiday, too!

Wishing you well, Hornblower!
A swig of rum (or the modern equivalent) beats nothing at all.

Best of luck with your results and yes, do eat something soon. You don't want to know what they put in those liver treats!

And JIC you want to play, you've been tagged!
