June Garden

I've uploaded them up to flickr, only to discover that the free account can only have 3 sets at a time. So I had to delete a set (I think that didn't delete the actual photos, just unbundled the set? I don't know) in order to batch these all together. Not a big deal but I'm kind of reluctant to spend the $ on a premium account. Otoh, I don't really have the time to investigate tons of other options. Ah well.

And, I ran out of upload space before I could put up this lovely (is that yet another reason to fork over the money for a premium account?), so I'm giving it to you here.

This is a salmonberry. A bit tart, very fragile, but much beloved by scrounging children, who are indignant at the nerve of all the robins stealing 'their' salmonberries. These grow wild here in the forests, and, luckily, by our creek.

(also blogger is being a bitch & won't let me update my template at the moment so the flickr badge on the sidebar won't take you to the appropriate set, which is here. Sigh. Time to log off I guess.)

That salmonberry picture took me right back to camping at Baker Lake when I was growing up! Thanks for the memories.
