Are they vampires?

We are not Dy and Zorak.

Roo is sick of me constantly talking about Dy and Zorak. Look, I'd say, their house needed tons of work and they did it! Zorak is working F/T! (I think. I'm pretty sure.) Dy has a baby! And little boys running around! And a puppy! And she still does things like "paint a bedroom after dinner". And Zorak runs wires by night so Dy can put on outlets by day.

Clearly Dy and Zorak are super human. And we are not. I putter around doing things like degreasing the hood and mopping up small floods and the entire day disappears. I have no clue what I did yesterday. We had to leave to take Amelia to dance class at 3:30, and we barely made it out of the house on time. There were no major disasters yesterday, but nothing got done either. No sheetrock put up, no paint. Hell, no boxes unpacked. No stash of clean underwear discovered. I did put out the garbage. (Yes, in my pj's & slippers if you must know. With a polar fleece jacket on top, cause dang, it was cold.) That was my accomplishment. Put out garbage, brought garbage cans back in, barely made it out of the house by 3:30 and bought cat food on the way home.

The evening? I dunno. Roo played bocce downstairs with the kids for about an hour (raining outside) and talked with his mom on the phone (they just got back from the little trip the kids sent them on for their 50th wedding anniversary). I looked at dogs at petfinder. And poof! It was time for bed.

You know how bad it is? This bad.

Yes! Dirty windows.
AND
Two unopened Amazon boxes. One arrived on April 3, the other on April 4. I still haven't opened them because I don't have time to read and I know that once I open them, I'll be out of circulation for several hours. One of the boxes has THIS in it. I won't be able to resist much longer.

If only I didn't need to sleep.

LOL! My kids just came running to see what was so funny.

I have a nearly identical blog entry saved in my drafts. (Darn kids wanted a meal or it'd be posted already!)

I've given up on trying to be as productive as Dy. Now, my plan is to lure the lot of them up here and hold them captive 'til they get MY house done.

Talk about super-human strenght! Time or not, I'd not be able to resist ripping those boxes open.

We found Napoleon through Petfinder.com.

The boxes look yummy.

Heh. I think I'm probably worse than you. I just spent the evening breaking down the boxes scattered all over the study that our book and homeschooling purchases have arrived in over the past, oh, two to three months... And that may have been a mistake, because now I can SEE the huge roll of fabric that I purchased to reupolster the couches, so I'll feel like a lazy slacker every time I pass it.
