Gravol and buckets

Yes, I officially have an ill girl.

Amelia woke up yesterday and said she felt very limp and tired and wanted to stay in bed with the cat for a bit. She eventually dressed and had a bit of tea & toast, then went back to bed to listen to some audio books.

In the afternoon, Amelia & Hugo were supposed to go to a friend's house for a birthday party. When I checked on her after lunch, Amelia said she felt much better, leaped out of bed, had a shower & insisted on going.

I was a bit hesitant about letting her go, worrying that she was really sick but she insisted she was fine.

When she got home, she went to bed again. Uh-oh.

The throwing up started at 2 am this morning. She won't eat this morning. I've finally got her to keep some gravol down (the first batch came back) and now she's fallen asleep. There's no fever and no diarrhea so I hope this is something minor and will pass quickly.

*** Later ***

Hugo is being a good sport about not being too noisy while sis is sick. They both listened (she kind of dozed through it) to
The Boxcar Children in the morning. Then she really fell asleep and Hugo decided he wanted to sew something. He tried hand sewing first but decided that it was taking too long to make his project: a little cushion for a stuffed dog. So he talked me into pulling out the sewing machine & he has had fun experimenting with different stitches and thread colors. He finally settled on the color scheme & decorative stitch & sewed the little thing up. I've turned on Blue's Clues for him while I make his lunch.

Amelia has been sucking the occasional ice chip but is really sleepy from the gravol. She refuses to eat.
